If it is your first time at a KidsCup, don’t start too fast. Swim at a good pace, turn on the speed on your bike and give it all at running. The routes are laid out in such a way, that you can manage them without any problems. The second time you will know yourself and the track length a little better and you will be able to start a bit faster from the beginning of these short distances.

Yeah, I know that feeling. I always say to myself that there is no reason to be nervous – I have prepared myself as well as possible – and in the end it is only a race and should be fun! If you still can not fall asleep, it’s good to know that it’s not bad if you sleep a little less the night before the race – it won’t affect your performance.

What should I eat before the KidsCup?

Spaghetti or rice with chicken the evening before the race – that gives you a lot of energy for the next day. For breakfast you should eat what you always have for breakfast and what is easily digestible. For example bread with honey or cereals are good for you. Don’t forget to drink enough. A piece of banana or some chocolate before the start will give you more energy. And at the finish line, some ice cream – right?
